RTI-HS (RTI Health Solutions)

Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International is an independent non-profit research institute in the areas of health, social and environmental sciences that works for government and private institutions. The institute was created in 1958 in Research Triangle Park (RTP) as collaboration between state government and universities, including North Carolina State University, Duke University, the University of North Carolina, and North Carolina Central University. RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) is a division of RTI working in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology, risk management, pharmacovigilance, psychometric, health outcome, clinical, statistical, and health economics studies. The RTI-HS epidemiology team has 25 members, including international thought leaders, and is based in Barcelona (Spain), and in the US (Research Triangle Park, NC, and Waltham, MA). RTI-HS is a member of the European Network of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance Centers (ENCePP).

The RTI-HS key personnel have recognized experience in the cardiovascular safety evaluations across a broad range of therapeutic areas including diabetes, and in the conduct of pharmacoepidemiology studies, quantitative systematic literature reviews and meta-analysis, and risk-benefit modeling. 

IN SAFEGUARD RTI-HS will be leading WP5 on the systematic review of clinical trials and observation studies.
