BWH (The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School)

The Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School hosts the FDA-funded Harvard-Brigham Drug Safety and Risk Management Research Center and the AHRQ-funded DEcIDE Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research. The Division of Pharmacoepidemiology from the department of Medicine of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School is very esteemed group.  Members of the research team have been influential in shaping the field of pharmacoepidemiology, particularly in elderly populations; in addition to specific research studies, they have published books, book chapters in major textbooks, as well as major review articles that define the core disciplines necessary to meet the objectives of this project.

In SAFEGUARD BWH will contribute to WP4 with the MEDICARE database, and in WP7 in advanced statistical analyses.
